GalleryA note about Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan Association Web site - https://yangfamilytaichi.com It is not required that students at Gentle Wind Tai Chi become members of the Yang Family Association. I do recommend that my students become members to help their learning process progress. I have enclosed a few pictures during my time studying Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan… Beginning with our Yang Family Association 2005 trip to China where myself, Michael Coulon and Jason Timony are standing at the table with Grandmaster Yang Zhenduo and his wife Mrs. Hu Ruidi. This took place at Grandmaster’s 80th year birthday party. The next picture was taken during the summer of 2023 at a teacher training seminar with Grandmaster Yang Jun in CT, and a few of Michael Coulon’s students from his center in Manchester NH and I sat in front of a camera. Next is a picture at the end of Grandmaster Yang Jun sword seminar in Michigan from about 18 years ago. Standing next to me is Sifu Han Hoong Wang, next to her is Grandmaster Yang Jun and next to him is Carl Meeks from Kentucky. Next picture is of myself having my eyes opened on the tour of China in 2005 standing in front of the Hanging Monastery – if you look closely, you will see the Monastery is built on the side of a cliff… The last picture is a favorite of mine – during a seminar at Winchester VA, with Grandmaster Yang Jun, my class from Qi Elements in Herndon took time to have our picture taken – on the left side is Sifu Pat Rice, standing next to Grandmaster Yang Jun. Most of that class have moved out of the area over the past 15 years. Still, it was a beautiful moment in time… And my last comment is - should you ever have the opportunity to take a seminar with Grandmaster Yang Jun, you should make the leap. I do my best to teach the same material, and every time I go to a seminar, I learn more… Thank you. |
